Review: How to Carry Bigfoot Home by Chris Tarry
I will admit, when I saw the cover I was a bit wary thinking this might be a collection of children's stories. Whoa was I wrong.
A fun collection of adult horror, I ran through this book in one sitting and am going through it again. From dark to darkly funny, each story complements the others with thoughts of parentage, loss, love, and general adult misgivings.
Check out the audio version that will have you through that shift or exercise in no time. The narrator is a friend of the library (full disclosure), and his voice is amazing while navigating the various stories in this collection, from cold instruction manual-type stories to various accents that feel totally in character. All around a great collection of short stories.
