Knowing and Beings of Known
Sometimes you gotta look inside yourself to see the real parts. Not just the blood and meat and black stuff, but the real you deep down that screams and thrashes knowing the world is not quite what you think. The library wants you to stare hard at the thing inside and know, know, know that if you could see the truth then maybe you might run screaming across the world telling everyone what you found.
Story time on every Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm and 6pm

Find Yourself!
Come to the library and check out our new database "Find Yourself!" Similar to ReferenceUSA or other people aggregating services, Find Yourself will look into your memories by connecting with the chip implanted just behind your eye when you went to the school nurse for headaches that time. Only available in the building currently and previously only available to library staff when looking for your personal email password, we are excited to share this new product with the public.
Bigfoot and Dracula to Scare Me
Scare Me (2020, Shudder, other streaming) - An utter gem of low stakes horror, this bottle movie about two people telling scary stories to each other in a cabin without power is a comfort watch. Just wait until the pizza gets there.
The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot (2019, Hulu, other streaming) - The title says it all, and that's what it's about. This melancholy look at an aging man and his life's battles will frustrate anyone who sits through the monotonous but gorgeously shot film.
Dracula Daily (ongoing - email) - The classic epistolary novel "Dracula" by Bram Stoker emailed in real time. My second year reading through, and it's so much fun. The Demeter just crashed ashore as of this writing.
Summer Solstice Reading Closing Event
The library is happy to announce our closing event for the Summer Solstice Reading Program 2024. In keeping with the theme, "Murder and Sex Books Are Cool," we will be having a murder mystery day at the library where one lucky patron during the day will be "killed" with clues left scattered around the building to find the murderer. Will it be the guilty children's librarian, the sexy reference librarian, the shadowy tech services librarian, or Steve the Demon Butcher?
