Stacks & Swords at the Library
If you want excitement, come on down to the library's game night where we play a rousing form of copyright-friendly role playing game excitement! Our homebrew game of Stacks & Swords invites teens and adults every month to become a member of the "Bibliotheca Animarum," an ancient library that hunts down books and artifacts that can harm humanity. We go to adventure the last Saturday afternoon of the month!
This past month's adventure involved a single team of adventurers led by the Game Librarian, Brenda. The group of adventurers found the ancient "Scroll of Murder Death Kill" and defeated the barbarian lord Simon Phoenix. The night was catered by Taco Bell.
Here are some highlights:
Our wizard Killtron, played by Callie Flowers, called forth hellfire and dominion to raise the mighty warrior "John" from his frozen grave to battle the mighty Phoenix.
Bill Pittman, playing as the Dancing Dane, used his bardic powers of persuasion to bring the underground dwellers to the cause of justice.
Our own barbarian Numbnuts (played by nameless Taco Bell employee) burned down a building of orphanages and blamed it on the warrior "John."
Paladin Jerome "Pants" Thunderpants played by Winsome Holgarth used the Scroll of Murder Death Kill to destroy the soul of Simon Phoenix, obliterating his existence.
Fighter Steve, played by Steve Smith, found a cat. He named it Whiskers.
Those feats and more can be found at the monthly game! We are thinking about putting some of these up on the podcast along with many other fun things. Stay tuned!
